Austin Miller

Pewee A Coach Austin Miller boasts an impressive 38 years of experience with hockey, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to his coaching role at San Diego Ice Arena (SDIA). Austin's journey in youth hockey began in 1982 in Binghamton, NY, where he played various levels, including Adams, Mites, Squirts, Peewees, Bantams, Junior C (Binghamton Junior Rangers), Junior B (Binghamton Junior Rangers), Team Central New York Select Team, Junior A (Soo Indians), Team USA Junior, Division 1 CCHA (Western Michigan Broncos), and the ECHL (Mississippi Sea Wolves).


Beyond playing, Austin has actively contributed to the hockey community. He played a key role in running the T-Cola Hockey School for four years and organized numerous learn-to-play hockey programs. With six years of coaching experience, Austin is dedicated to improving players both on and off the ice. His coaching philosophy revolves around instilling confidence, promoting effective communication, and fostering a competitive spirit. The focus of the team under Austin's guidance will be on fun, fundamentals, and cultivating a love for the game.
