Synchronized Skating
Synchronized skating seamlessly blends ballet's grace, ice dancing's elegance, and pair skating's beauty into a rapidly growing facet of figure skating. With teams of 8 to 20 athletes, this unique sport not only captivates visually but also instills teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication, judged collectively. Skaters acquire self-discipline, dedication, and skill, contributing to successful group formations.
Participating in synchronized skating fosters confidence, self-esteem, and pride. Trust in teammates is essential for safety and successful performances, leading to enduring friendships. SDIA hosts two renowned Synchronized Skating Programs:
-
Team del Sol - The Pacific Coast's most successful program
-
Shining Blades - Proud representatives of the San Diego Figure Skating Club
