Adam York

Sr. Coach

Adam York's hockey journey is characterized by leadership, enthusiasm, and a diverse background in the sport. Originally from Davis, CA, Adam's early years saw him immersed in roller hockey. In 2002, he made a pivotal move to San Diego, where he became a pivotal figure in the SDSU Club Ice Hockey team.


Adam's leadership abilities shone through as he took on the role of SDSU Ice Hockey Team President. Under his guidance, the team achieved remarkable success, making back-to-back appearances in the ACHA National championship tournaments.


The influence of SDIA legendary coach David Hough played a crucial role in shaping Adam's hockey experience. In 2020, Adam continued his journey by joining the Mites coaching staff at SDIA. His coaching approach is marked by a positive and enthusiastic attitude, fostering player and team development.


Beyond the rink, Adam finds joy in homebrewing and shares his passion for exploration by traveling with his family. Adam York's multifaceted involvement in the hockey community reflects a commitment to both individual and team growth, creating a positive impact at SDIA.
